SYSI Leagues - Development, City and Alliance


SYSI Leagues and Age Groups

All Registrants will be placed with a team and will be notified via Team RAMP of their roster assignment in September.

All players will be evaluated by our certified coaches throughout the season to do their best to ensure all players spend their indoor season in a developmentally appropriate environment.

Development League (U7 and U9) - Mini Soccer for 5 to 8 year-olds

TEAMS

  • All Development League Players will be invited to a Mini Jamboree in September to kick off the season!
  • No evaluations are done for Mini players, however SUSC does our best to balance the Mini teams. 
  • The focus is fun, development and inclusiveness.

COACHES

  • Teams are coached and managed by a minimum of 3 Registered PARENT VOLUNTEERS.
  • Training plans and Coach Training is overseen by the SUSC TECHNICAL TEAM.

TRAINING AND GAMES

  • Teams have 1-2 Training Sessions per week and 1 League Game per week.
  • Formats are: 3v3 (U7) and 5v5 (U9)
  • No Scores or Standings are kept.

Under 7 Boys or Girls - 2019/2018 born players

Under 9 Boys or Girls - 2017/2016 born players

 

Alliance League (U11-U19) - Competitive Soccer for 9 to 18 year-olds of all skill levels

Players of any skill level who wish to commit to a competitive developmental experience, who are driven to compete and advance their skill development are welcome in the Alliance League.

TEAMS

  • All Alliance League Players must attend the Alliance Evaluations in late August/early September (Dates/Times TBA).
  • After Evaluations, all Alliance League Players will be tiered into teams:
    • Alliance A - advanced
    • Alliance B1 - intermediate
    • Alliance B2 - beginners
  • All Players who attend Alliance League Evaluations will be placed on Alliance teams, even if they are beginners. 

COACHES

  • Teams are coached and managed by a minimum of 2-3 Registered PARENT COACHES.
  • Training Plans are overseen by Team Coaches with assistance from the SUSC TECHNICAL TEAM.

TRAINING AND GAMES

  • Alliance Teams have 1-2 Training Sessions per week and 1-2 League Games per week.
  • Formats are: 7v7 U11-A/B1/B2 and U13-B1/B2) and 9v9 (U13-A, U15-U19-A/B1/B2).
  • Standings and final match for U13-U19 divisions.

Under 11 Boys or Girls - 2015/2014 born players

Under 13 Boys or Girls - 2013/2012 born players

Under 15 Boys or Girls - 2011/2010 born players

Under 17 Boys or Girls - 2009/2008 born players

Under 19 Boys or Girls - 2007/2006 born players

 

City Rec League (U11-U19) - Recreational Soccer for 9-18 year-olds of all skill levels

Players of any skill level seeking an alternative recreational experience, for those who prefer not to make the commitments for competitive soccer and wish to enjoy a more relaxed environment are welcome in the City League.

  • All City League Players will be invited to a World Cup Fun Day in late August/early September (Dates/Times TBA).
  • After Evaluations, all City League Players will be divided into teams.
  • All Players of all skills levels who wish to play in the City League are welcome.  

COACHES

  • Teams are coached and managed by a minimum of 2-3 Registered PARENT VOLUNTEERS.

TRAINING AND GAMES

  • City Teams have 1 Optional Training Session per week and approximately 1 League Game per week.
  • Format is is 7v7 for all age groups.
